| Weekly Prayer Focus |
| November 2008 November 2 – GWCC Men’s Fellowship I Cor. 1:9 “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” God we pray and we thank you that your strength and Holy Ghost power has manifested in our Men’s Fellowship. We pray that you continue to empower our men as they begin to proclaim, profess, confess and acknowledge your sovereignty and deity. We will pray for our men continually and bless them by Your Spirit as we thank You for the greatness of each and every one of our men in Jesus name! November 9 – Pray for our Government Is. 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder:” We thank God this week for Your favor and grace that is abounding in our lives everyday. We are praying for our nation and the new president and vice president of the United States of America as they have a great task before them and only prayer through the leading of You dear Heavenly Father can direct their paths in all decisions. November 16 – Show Ourselves Friendly Prov. 18:24 “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” As we get in full motion and gear into the Holiday Season, let us as Christians be a true example of Christ- likeness in our mannerisms and in our kindnesses towards one other. We are praying this week that we will be the example at the grocery store, (in the long line) in the mall (in the long line), in our home, on our job and in His presence. For He is with us at all times watching over us as we show ourselves friendly to the world. November 23 – Thanksgiving Holiday Ps. 26:7 “That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.” As we enter into this week of “Thanksgiving” let’s remember that our Lord and Savior Jesus has given us so much to be thankful for. Let’s pray for our neighbors and those who are less fortunate than we as we share with our family, friends and neighbors the bounty of what God has provided for us. Amen! Amen! November 30 – The Harvest Rev. 14:15 “And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” This week we are praying for the harvest. The many souls that are still lost and do not know Jesus as their personal savior. Pray believing that God can find the souls right where they are, at their point of need, cloth them in His righteousness and give them a mind that is praising Jesus’ name! |
