First Lady Shirleen Hodge was born to the late Hubert & Edith Powell, Sr.
She is from a very musical and anointed family consisting of 4 brothers
and three sisters.
First Lady Hodge has been singing in front of congregations since the age
of three. While she had been going to church all of her life, it was not until
June of 1979 that she gave her life to the Lord at her home church, Holy
Trinity
C.O.G.I.C. She also served as Choir Director of the Heavenly Choir of Holy
Trinity.
Shirleen is an anointed Psalmist; the Lord has allowed her to sing in front
of thousands of people. She has shared the stage with "Gospel Greats"
past and present; she has also lent her vocal talents to several recordings.
The Lord blessed Elder Steven Hodge to find a "good thing" and he
married Shirleen on December 29th, 1984. They are the proud parents of
three wonderfully blessed sons - Steven, Brandon and Kristopher.
Part of her testimony is that you can live a saved life while being single
and God can keep you even through a courtship!
Shirleen became the First Lady of Grace Worship Center Church (formerly
Grace Pentecostal Church).
Minister Hodge is a very active "First Lady". She is the Choir Director of
the Anointed Voices of GWCC; she also serves as Membership Services
Director and provides Personal Ministry to the women of Grace.
First Lady Hodge is an awesome woman of God who daily impacts the lives
of those around her by her spirit of excellence and her desire to only do
God's will. The Lord is continually doing a new thing in her life and it's
marvelous in our eyes.
